The Limelight Studio Study Tour project aims to provide RMIT VET students an opportunity to demonstrate skills and knowledge to work in an international workplace environment, specifically China. We at RMIT are working in the Asian century, therefore a closer working relationship within the Asia- Pacific region is paramount. Given RMIT’s strong focus on greater collaboration with industry and education, it is expected that this international workplace project will increase collaboration between VET institutions in Australia and participating institutions or workplace environments overseas.

This project will require Diploma of Photo Imaging students to be involved in professional activities such as: interpreting briefs from clients; consulting with clients to refine objectives of photo imaging assignments; selecting appropriate technologies and workflows; working form a studio and other locations; employing aesthetic, conceptual, compositional and technical skills; and using a range of traditional, contemporary and emerging technologies.
