Program details

Tour Leader: Dr Foula Kopanidis

Open to: Postgraduate students

During this Global Intensive, you will:
  • Broaden and enhance your knowledge and understanding of Denmark and its relationship with the European Union
  • Study various aspects of the Danish economy, political and financial systems and cultural development
  • Understand Denmark's role in the European Union and how membership of the Union impacts Denmark and vice versa
  • Develop various skills to become a global student

Key dates

Participants will attend classes at RMIT in Melbourne and at Aarhus University, Denmark.

They will also participate in the other activities as part of the study tour in Denmark.

Mandatory RMIT classes (Melbourne)

Pre-departure classes:

Saturday 22/09/18   10 am to 4 pm
Saturday 13/10/18   10 am to 4 pm

Post-travel class: Saturday 9 March 2019
 
Travel dates:  7th - 18th January 2019

Study tour Itinerary


The January 2019 itinerary will be finalised later on this year.
You can get a better idea of what it will look like by having a look at the January 2018 itinerary. (You will need  to log into Gmail using your RMIT email address to access  the document).

Academic Credit

Eligibility

In order to register for this study tour you must: 

 
  • Be an RMIT Melbourne Postgraduate student,
  • Have two general electives available in your program plan
  • Not be deemed At Risk after Semester 1 results are released. We recommend you re-apply once your academic performance has improved

Applications

Step 1:
  • Register via Mobi by clicking on 'Apply Now' below
  • Select the 'Summer 2018' term
  • You do not need to fill in the questionnaires at this stage.
    • The exception is if you are not a College of Business student.  You must have written approval to participate from your home College to ensure the electives will fit into your program. Please use this template and upload it to your Mobi application.

Step 2:
  • We will assess applications once a week from July 12, once Semester 1 results are released.

Program Cost

Total Approximate Cost, excluding tuition fees: AUD$5,000 per student.

*This approximate cost includes the following:
  • Airfare
  • Accommodation
  • Transportation and Excursion costs
 Additional Costs to Consider:
  • RMIT Tuition Fee (2 Elective courses)
  • Host Country Visa (if applicable)
  • Personal Expenditure
  • Additional travel insurance (students are now covered by RMIT’s travel insurance, although you may require additional cover depending on your circumstances, please refer here for more information)
