Open to: Undergraduate students
  • This Global Intensive will enable you to become more globally engaged by enhancing and broadening your knowledge and understanding of France, the European Union and the world community outside of Australia.  
  • The program is designed to help you develop your self-confidence and people skills by exposing you to new situations in unknown environments in order to challenge you to develop the skills necessary to cope in unfamiliar and challenging situations.

Key dates

Participants will attend classes at RMIT in Melbourne and Brest Business School in France.

They will also participate in the other activities as part of the study tour in France.

Mandatory RMIT classes (Melbourne)

Pre-departure classes:

Saturday 22/09/18   10 am to 4 pm
Saturday 13/10/18   10 am to 4 pm

Post-travel class: Saturday 9 March 2019
Travel dates:  7th - 18th January 2019

Study Tour Itinerary

The January 2019 itinerary will be finalised later on this year.
You can get a better idea of what it will look like by having a look at the January 2018 itinerary. (You will need  to log into Gmail using your RMIT email address to access  the document).

Academic Credit


In order to register for this study tour you must be a: 

  • RMIT Melbourne Undergraduate student,
  • with two general electives available in your program plan,
  • who is not at risk with their studies following Semester 1 results,
  • who has completed or achieved the equivalent of at least 1 semester of academic study at RMIT at the time of application deadline. (36cp for full time students /12cp for part-time students)



Step 1:
  • Register via Mobi by clicking on 'Apply Now' below
  • Select the 'Summer 2018' term
  • You do not need to fill in the questionnaires at this stage.
    • The exception is if you are not a College of Business student.  You must have written approval to participate from your home College to ensure the electives will fit into your program. Please use this template and upload it to your Mobi application.
Step 2:
  • We will assess applications once a week from July 9, once Semester 1 results are released.

Program Cost

Total Approximate Cost, excluding tuition fees: AUD$5,000* per student.

*This approximate cost includes the following:
  • Airfare
  • Accommodation
  • Transportation and Excursion costs

 Additional Costs to Consider:
  • RMIT Tuition Fee (2 Elective courses)
  • Host Country Visa (if applicable)
  • Personal Expenditure
  • Additional travel insurance (students are now covered by RMIT’s travel insurance, although you may require additional cover depending on your circumstances, please refer here for more information)
