  • Develop a range of perspectives and skills to understand the complexities of managing a business in Europe
  • Understand the cultural norm and etiquette in Spain
  • Understand the management and leadership approaches used within the country and how it differs from approaches used in Australian organisations
  • Examine the European Union and how business practice is facilitated across the diverse member states
Learning Outcome:
At the conclusion of the tour, students should understand have insight into the following:
  • the European Union as a social and economic entity
  • the critical issues facing the EU and the Eurozone
  •  the  Spanish economy
  • the potential for doing business in Europe and differences in Spanish business relationships from those in Australia
  • management and leadership practices Spanish organisations and
  • the business relationships between Australia, Spain and European Union
Eligibility:
  • Be currently enrolled in an RMIT Master or Juris Doctor program
  • International students must NOT be in the last semester of studies before the Global Intensive (Sem 2 2017)
  • Have one general elective available  in your program plan (12cp course). (if you are unsure, lodge a request here to confirm the number of electives you have left to complete)
  • If not a College of Business student, you must have written approval to participate from your home College to ensure the electives will fit into your program. Please use this template.
  • Not be at At Risk - if you are  At Risk, you will not be eligible for this year’s global intensive course and it is recommended that you apply again after your academic progress improves.

Offers will be made to students who meet the above selection criteria on a first-in, first-served basis. 

Academic Credit:
  • Gain up to 12 credit points towards your degree
  • Enrol into  BUSM2169/BUSM4100 during Summer
  • Students will receive a unique invoice for this fee, it will not be added to the regular semester invoice
  • Anyone withdrawn from the census date will be charged for the fees
