Program Details:

This one semester exchange project is for year 5 students studying BP278 Bachelor of Health Science/Bachelor of Applied Science (Chinese Medicine) double degree in the Discipline of Chinese Medicine, School of Health and Biomedical Sciences, RMIT to attend advanced clinical training at Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, China. Students will be enrolled into Clinical Internship COTH2042 for 48 credit points at RMIT. Upon successful completion of the 5 years program, students are eligible to apply for national registration with the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia. This course will advance the student’s learning of Chinese medicine theory and clinical courses in the first 4.5 years. It is designed to give students the opportunity for a comprehensive clinical training involving extensive observation and practice in various therapies/approaches in Chinese medicine under close staff supervision. The internship will also consist of lectures and tutorials with reference to common clinical conditions.

Cancellation Fee:
  • No cancellation fee. Last day to withdraw is 13 April 2018.
Eligibility:
  • Only students enrolled in COTH2042
  • Participation of this program will require approval from the Discipline Leader of Chinese Medicine, Associate Professor Tony Zhang
Academic Credit (as advised by your RMIT program coordinator):

Registration process:
  • Students to be selected by their school by 15 March 2018.
  • Students accepted in to this program will be required to register via Mobi by completing the following questionnaires:
    • Outbound Student Mobility: General Information
    • Short Term Mobility: General Information
  • Register on Mobi by 30 March 2018 for your internship starting in either July 2018 (select Winter 2018 term) or August 2018 (select Spring 2018 term)
Funding:
July - October 2018 - there are 25 x $7,000 New Colombo Plan (NCP) mobility grants available to eligible Australian citizens enrolled in a bachelor/bachelor honours program. Contact Iris Zhou for more information.
