  • Program Dates: 18 June - 13 July 2018
  • Availability: 10 exchange (tuition fee waiver) places available 
Study Engineering in English in Madrid this Winter. Immerse yourself in Spanish culture while gaining credit towards your degree.
In this four week program, you will not only take an academic course (Internet of Things), but also participate in a cultural course, Spanish language course or research project. 

Course Information 
Choose two of the four courses available in order to get 12 RMIT credits:
- Internet of Things 
- Research Project in lab - 100 hours
- Spanish Culture
- Intermediate Spanish - need to have B1 level to participate

  • This program is open to undergraduate engineering and science students.
  • Students must meet pre-requisites for the selected program, as outlined in the course descriptions above.
Academic credit at RMIT
  • Students may be eligible to receive 12 RMIT credit points towards their degree
    • you MUST undertake two courses to be eligible for 12 credit points
  • The exact credit will need to be discussed with your RMIT Program Coordinator. You will need to complete a study plan as part of your application as per the application process below.
NOTE: this program is part of a reciprocal exchange agreement; if selected you will enrol into EXTL placeholder courses for which you will pay tuition fees to RMIT.

Costs to bear in mind when undertaking this program include (but are not limited to)::
  • Flights
  • Host country visa (if applicable)
  • Accommodation 
  • Expenses related to arriving before set program start date and departing after set program end date
  • Spending money for, eg, transport, other meals
  • RMIT Tuition fees (students will continue to pay RMIT tuition fees)

Application Process
STEP ONE: Complete your Study Plan by selecting your course and request approval from your RMIT Program Coordinator, specifying which two courses you wish to undertake at 
STEP TWO:. Apply for this program on Mobi by clicking on the "Apply Now" button on this page by 15 April 2018
You application must include: 
  1. Academic Approval: your RMIT school-approved study plan. See here for more information about seeking study plan approval.
  2. Your passport copy
STEP THREE: RMIT Global Experience Office will nominate students to Universidad Pontificia Comillas.
STEP FOUR: Nominated students will receive instructions to complete the Universidad Pontificia Comillas application. You must complete their application by 1 June 2018
STEP FIVE: Once the application is accepted by Universidad Pontificia Comillas, they will send an official letter of acceptance

2018 Funding:
For Winter 2018 programs, there are:
  • 10 x $1000 RMIT Mobility grants available for this program.
Please check the Scholarships website and Global Experience website for funding options. Students may also be eligible for the Australian Government OS-Help Loan Scheme.
