  • Availability: 15 places (minimum 10)
Gain valuable international experience and work with a leading Italian University in a leading fashion district. Visit the oldest shopping mall in the world, the magnificent Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II as well as experiencing local culture during a trip around the famous 'Lake Como'.
 
This program is supported by RMIT School Architecture + Urban design and contributes to the requirements of the 'Design and produce store plans and floor layouts' and 'Source and apply information on the history and theory of design' courses in the Diploma of Visual Merchandising.
 
There are 10 x $1000 Mobility Grants available for Diploma of Visual Merchandising students on this program which will be awarded via an application process as per below.
  • These grants are available for any selected study tour participants who require financial support to fund their contribution to the tour. If you feel you need support in this area we encourage you to submit an application.
  • The application should be no longer than 100 words and emailed to aud.ve@rmit.edu.au attention Sam Falanga, by 9am Monday March 05, 2018 with Study Tour Grant in the subject line.
Program cost
The approximate cost of this program is approximately $AU6000
This cost includes:
  • Flights and Accommodation (NOTE: participants will make their own arrangements for travel and accommodation)
  • Land based activities ($900 covered by RMIT material fee) will include
  • Lake Como day trip
  • NABA university workshop
  • Entry to two galleries
Additional costs to consider:
  • RMIT tuition fee
  • Host country visa (if applicable)
  • Personal expenditure
** RMIT student travel insurance
Students are now covered by RMIT’s travel insurance, although you may require additional cover depending on your circumstances. For more info, please refer here.
 
Eligibility
  • Diploma of Visual Merchandising students
Academic Credit
Enrol into either:
  • MKTG7856C - Design and produce store plans and floor layouts or
  • GRAP5299C: Source and apply information on the history and theory of design
Registration process
Step 1: Express and submit your interest in undertaking this study tour by emailing aud.ve@rmit.edu.au attention Sam Falanga,  
If you wish to be considered for the Mobility Grant your application should include 100 words about how the grant will assist you in undertaking the tour
Step 2: Successful students will then be advised to register via Mobi
Step 3: Register using the ‘Apply Now’ button above by 16 March 2018
