Shi Chien camp 2018Program details
  • Host institution: Shih Chien University
  • Program dates: 8 – 21 July
  • Availability: 4 discounted places for RMIT students
Shih Chien University in Taipei is running a two-week summer camp, which includes Mandarin language study, Culture Experiences, Day Tours and Weekend Travels. See here for more information.
Note: this short-term program is not for academic credit.

Eligibility
  • All RMIT students
Academic / course details
  • This is an immersive two week program and involves some language study but is not sufficient to receive academic credit at RMIT.
Program cost
Cost for this program is approximately: $NTU17,000 ($AU750)
This includes:
  • accommodation for 14 nights,
  • partial meals,
  • pick-up services
  • field & cultural trips.
Shi Chien has waived the following costs for 4  RMIT students
  • Mandarin teaching fee (worth $215)
Additional costs to consider (but not limited to):
  • Flights
  • Host country visa (if applicable)
  • Personal expenditure
** RMIT student travel insurance:
Students are now covered by RMIT’s travel insurance, although you may require additional cover depending on your circumstances. For more info, please see here.
 
Accommodation
Dormitory accommodation is provided within walking distance of campus. See here for more information.

Application and selection process
STEP 1: apply via Mobi by clicking the ‘Apply now’ button above by 25 May 2018
STEP 2: Successful applicants will then be nominated to the host institution
STEP 3: You will then need to complete an application to the host institution by 15 June 2018
