Program details:

Available places: maximum 10 students

This a problem-based learning program for the students. 

Tentative itinerary (details to be confirmed by program leader:
Day 1 - Arrival of RMIT students
Day 2 - Opening Ceremony and Guidance
Day 3 - Tokyo R&D center tour
Day 4 - gPBL works
Day 5 - Midterm presentation  @ room 403 (13:10~15:00)
Day 6 - gPBL works / Party
Day 7  - gPBL works
Day 8  - Holiday (Excursion)City tour 
Day 9 - Talks from SIT professors 
Day 10 - gPBL works
Day 11 -  gPBL works
Day 12 - Final presentation  and  Closing ceremony 
Day 13 - Departure of RMIT students

Eligibility:
  • Only students in BH070 Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) (Honours) and BH074 Bachelor of Engineering (Automotive Engineering) (Honours)
Academic Credit:
  • Not for credit
Program Cost:
  • Approximate cost of this program will be around AU$ 2400:
    • $1000 return flights
    • $100/night for decent hotel
    • $40/day for food
    • $10 visa fee  
Additional costs to consider, but not limited to:
  • RMIT Tuition Fee (if applicable)
  • General Living Expenses
** RMIT student travel insurance
Students on approved overseas activities receive complimentary travel insurance (policy number: 41443), although you may require additional cover depending on your circumstances.

  • After the registration deadline, the program leader will in contact to provide you with additional information and instructions related your predeparture to Japan.
