Austcham HK**Apply directly to AustCham for the 2018 AustCham Intern Programme by end of August 2018 (confirm directly with AustCham)**

Only students who have been accepted by AustCham should proceed with their registration here. The registration form on Mobi will be opened until 28 September 2018 (TBC).


Program Details:
AustCham has over 1,500 members representing 500 companies who are seeking top Australian interns. The 2018 Intern Program will enable students to experience Hong Kong's vibrant culture in a supportive environment. 
  • Program Dates: 6-12 week internships between 26 November 2018 and 16 February 2019 (subject to student and company availability).
                                Program start dates and durations vary depending on internships.

    • Internships available at Hong Kong-based companies across wide range of industries

Program Cost:
Successful applicant will pay a fee of AU$1,500 directly to AustCham, which will include:
  • Assistance with Visa application
  • Internship placement
  • Orientation program and introduction to Hong Kong
  • Networking events to meet other students and companies
  • On-ground support for all interns during their placement
  • AustCham will source affordable housing options
  • The most engaging and exciting introduction to Hong Kong!
Additional costs to consider:
  • RMIT Tuition Fee (if seeking academic credits)
  • Airfare
  • Accommodation
  • General Living Expenses
  • Visa (if applicable)
  • Personal Expenditure
Travel Insurance
Students on approved overseas activities receive complimentary travel insurance (policy number: 41443), although you may require additional cover depending on your circumstances.

Eligibility:
  • Undergraduate or Postgraduate students enrolled  at RMIT
  • Meet the requirement of the hosting company
Academic Credit:
Please confirm academic credits with your program coordinator/school. If you are eligible for credits, you can seek confirmation from your program coordinator/school in the form of a signed and completed study plan.


AustCham Application / GEO registration process:
  1. Apply directly to AustCham for the program by the end of August 2018 (*confirm directly with AustCham)
  2. AustCham will notify applicants of the outcome.
  3. Successful RMIT applicants will then be required to register through this program page with the Global Experience Office (GEO) by 28 September 2018.
Funding:
There may be alternative ways to fund your trip. Please check the Scholarships website and Global Experience website for funding options.
