Hunan University International Winter Session Program (HUIWSP) usually lasts from December to January (the following year). It brings a variety of courses and programs to suit your needs. Benefiting from the world-wide accredited professors and extremely abundant educational resource .Students from the domestic and the the abroad can experience a remarkable campus life in a rigorous yet vivid learning environment. 

HUIWSP Courses:
Each course is instructed in English with 54 contact hours and will be awarded 4 Hunan credits. After successful completion of the course study, students will be awarded an official Hunan transcript. The number of credits that can be transferred to applicants’ home universities is subject to the register office of each university.

Travel Insurance:
Students on approved overseas activities receive complimentary travel insurance (policy number: 41443), although you may require additional cover depending on your circumstances.

Academic Credit at RMIT:
This is an opportunity for you to gain credit for your degree during the RMIT semester break.
  • The exact credit will need to be discussed with your RMIT Academic Area. You will need to complete a study plan as part of your application as per the application process below. 4 Hudan credits is considered approximate to 12 RMIT credit points
NOTE: if approved to receive academic credit you will enrol into study abroad EXTL placeholder courses for which you will pay not tuition fees to RMIT.

Application and Registration process:
  1. Discuss this opportunity with your RMIT Academic area. Seek study plan approval about where this will fit in your RMIT program structure. 
  2. Apply directly to HUISWP here
  3. Upon acceptance from HUIWSP, register through Mobi by 7 Dec 2018 Registrations must include:
    • confirmation/acceptance letter from Hunan University, International Winter Session Program
    • Your RMIT school-approved study plan (if you are claiming academic credits)
  4. The RMIT Global Experience Office (GEO) will review and process your registration, and provide you with additional information such as predeparture.
Funding:
There may be alternative ways to fund your trip. Please check the Scholarships website and Global  Experience website for funding options.
